What type of table will work in this space?

Once again a bizarre separation wall between kitchen, living room and dining room. I've tried numerous tables and shapes none of which work. Its not a retaining wall but the fake window thing disturbs me! I need some great inexpensive ideas for a breakfast table in this spot. Help!

Have you thought of a round table with chairs? You can place it somewhat away from the windows in the center of your space. I suggest also that you remove that water tank thing from that spot as well..relocate it someplace else where it is not front and center decor. I see the dining set being the only furniture in this area. A set of black or white will blend well with your floor as well...Good luck!

The pictures are deceiving, the area is small I tried round and it didn't work, and as far as the water cooler, their seriously is no where else to put it and its a must

what about a half circle? you know the kind that has a flat back and curved front. They make some that are for dining tables now. they still are not that large, but for 2 people it would be adequate.

Build in bench seating below the window and buy a half round table! Maybe consider replacing the water dispenser for something a little more stylish.http://www.amazon.com/New-Wave-Enviro-Products-Porcelain/dp/B00ET0KXKO/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1438776754&sr=8-15&keywords=water+crock+ceramic

Those windows are not real windows? Did I read that right? If so, remove them and with the awesome checkerboard floor, put in a restaurant style booth upholstered in red! Good luck!

@Julie Benson-Grant no, completely fake, strange believe me! if the area was bigger the booth idea would be great

Have you considered taking out the fake window wall? By opening up the space you open up more options... Possibly an Island with breakfast bar...
    • Kelly Kelly on Aug 06, 2015
@Dave Bain Yes eventually that is exactly what I'd like to do but until that is feasible I think i'm going with the bench and half table idea.

Is it the third window that is fake? the other two look as if they are on a porch? How big is your kitchen, how many people need to sit at a table. If you have room why not a round table with four seats? That is unless your kitchen is too small. Ditch the water thing.

O.K. I see from the picture looking into the kitchen that it is a small space. If you or your husband or a friend or relative is handy, I would have a small table built that is in line with the first division up in the windows (between the seat and table top.) it would be angled to "fit" into that space, then the other side would be a half moon shape. It would give more table top space, could be used for prep and the same stools could be used.

Hi I would try something like this.

I would consider a built in with storage under the seating (to the bottom of window height) a half circle type with throw pillows to match the seat top...table could also be half circle or full circle w/a couple of chairs on the outside for more seating

The windows don't appear to be "fake", they are just in an odd place-hence no outside view. I think I would take down the roll up shades, they seem to add to the odd look of the windows. (Just my thought.) I agree, I think a small drop leaf table might work.

@C_ann_g no they aren't real, not sure what the object of them is but they are annoying! I think I will be eventally taking the entire wall out and building a breakfast bar type area but until then since I've tried every shape imaginable and nothing works, I think I will build a bench up against the wall and use a half table.
