The Creative Eye Sees Hope

When encountering an ugly scene that looks torn apart, run down and abandoned, do you pass it by or see potential? I came up across this similar scene a while back when I purchased my home. It was an old shack with lots of room and lots of work that was begging to be accomplished.
Of course, I didn't want to do the work because I hated thinking about how much work it was going to take and how much time it would consume. The thing that changed my mind and got me started was the thought that time was going to pass anyway, so I may as well be productive with it.
I got started by seriously rebuilding much of this little shack. I replaced the walls which were warped and full of holes, the floor which was rotting and sinking and the roof which was caving in with holes here and there. After that, I had the walls painted. I wasn't worried about wallpaper because I was going to put soundproofing along the wall anyway and use this little abandoned shack as my studio. Finish up with some Vinyl planks and some writing for light and I was good to go!
For anyone that is curious, I chose vinyl planks because they are created to mimic hardwood floors and I love hardwood flooring. Vinyl planks look like the wood planks because they are made to come in the same size. The texturing is pretty accurate of hardwood floors too. Unless you know what to look for, you can't even tell it's vinyl!
