Flower Garden Through The Years...Small Apartment to House

If you follow my blog, you know that I am a huge advocate for having a garden regardless of where you live. Most of my gardening took place in a small apartment in southern California, and I learned so much during that time. Now that I live in a house, I have taken many of those tips and tricks, and put them into my larger flower garden.
Some of my favorite flowers to this day are some that I started on my balcony many years ago. Since one of my missions is to help anyone have a flower garden and easily take care of it, I thought it would be neat to share with you some of my favorite flowers over the years.
This was the first rose bush I had in 2007. It grew to be as tall as the balcony! It provided so much beauty and peace to the patio...now I have many roses in my yard, but this is still one of my favorites.
Although not a flower, I had a lemon tree on my patio for many years. It had the sweetest blooms and made the best lemons!
As you know, Hibiscus is one of my favorite potted plants and I have shared many tips on the blog regarding how to grow them the best. This is one of my first hibiscus plants in my apartment. It made the largest, most beautiful blooms! I continue to grow Hibiscus in pots at my house, they make such a great addition to any yard.

I have many more pictures from my apartment patio to my current house on the blog, so check it out for some more flower inspiration!
