According to Dave's Garden.com the pea vine has been grown in New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvainia. I'm sure as an annual. I'm happy to share seeds. I will be sending some to my cousin in New York and will post her results. And, yes, Julia is correct-it is used for a dye.
