DYI: I have a thing for creative, inventive lighting.
This home-made lamp stands 32"tall. It has a fraternal twin.
Pieces of plastic bags waiting to be fused. (You can check-out my technique article in ClothPaperScissors July/Aug. 2011 issue)
Free-motion sewing is decorative but not necessary. I attached my plastic fabric to a "de-clothed" shade.
Loved the original paint and knew that once halved, lamps were in its future. Took awhile to break thru the rusted bolts.
Long drill bit and persistence.
Great grater base allows the cord to slip out nicely.
The glow is seriously mod-cool-mysterious.
