Me & My Chain Saw :: Chain Saw Maintenance

I'll be honest: I have been *ahem* dusting off some of my older posts (some I really actually still love). This one actually happened to be my first after moving to Wordpress.
Anyway, with much of the Northeast facing the thread of a massive blizzard this weekend, I'm thinking this one might be useful. I'll say, simply: Be safe and make sure your tools are ready.
A little on Chainsaw Maintenance ... I needed mine after a big snowstorm a few years back and here's how I dealt with it. hint: check "Winter Operation Instructions". Luck and be well. ~jb

With most tools. the Owner's Manual Can be a GoTo.
I lost half this Magnolia (I think) about 3 years ago.

    my chainsaw is hard to start. once started, i can make a few cuts. then when i set the saw down ,while idling , the saw will quit. then , almost impossible to restart. any clues come to mind?

    We didn't get anything. but I can tell you my chainsaw *was* ready... hope you are making out ok.
