Turn A Discarded Shutter Into The Perfect Spot To Store Your Jewelry

$10-15
1-2 Days
Easy
While looking through some re-claimed building material I found some discarded shutters and had a great idea for a new project! Jewelry storage!
I started with the single, small, shutter. Then I added a few gold, decorative knobs from the sale/discount bin at Pier 1 Imports, a few cups hooks, a wire hanger, left-over paint, and some scrap wood.
I worked out how everything should be arranged and put it all together over a weekend. The final piece went together quite quickly.
I love how it looks in our master bath and it's so handy to have my favorite jewelry right there!

What did you use for the wire & how did you attach it?

Using simple poster frame, I took fabric placed screening on top then taped to cardboard backing. Clip to frame. Use simple office clips to bottom for necklaces.. chains. I also sponge painted frame for visual interest... BTW I made most of the earrings...👍👍👍👍
