Jaclyn Underwood on Aug 10, 2015I live in Palm Springs and we have them all over. They are beautiful trees, but need attention every year. The fronds are very strong and hard to cut through. The preferred way of keeping them healthy and you safe from fire is to hire a reputable tree trimmer to cut all but the new growth every year. They usually use a machete or chain saw to accomplish this job.Helpful Reply
