Since scarves are all the rage these days, and I'm all about the rage, I needed a cute way to display my rage. That makes me sound angry. But my scarf rage makes me quite happy! I also wanted a way to display all of my upcylced t-shirt scarves I occasionally sell at craft shows.
One day while "shopping the curb" I found piles of these cute little green landscaping fence. Didn't know what I'd use it for, but it was cute. I also picked up this drawer front. It's good to have a stash of junk to draw from when you need something like a scarf rack! :)
After taking the handles off of the drawer front, I painted it white and secured the fence on it with screws. The fence needs to sit away from the wall so your scarves can easily slip around each "post". I used wire on the back to hang it on the wall.
It works great! And yes, all these scarves are made from old t-shirts! :) Read more on my blog about how to make t shirt scarves here: http://www.kammyskorner.com/2013/10/t-shirt-fringe-scarvf-upcycle.html
