How To Transform An Old Worn Deck Into A Beautiful Outdoor Room

Our deck was tired, hot and worn out. A lot of hard work and my vision for the space turned it into a livable outdoor room to be enjoyed for many years to come.
We designed and built the pergola to add some shade. Old shutters hang from the pergola to add texture and to block the afternoon sun.
Comfy cushy furniture, a rug, a table and garden stool, and colorful pillows make this a usable outdoor space.
Night time is the best under the string cafe lights that cast a soft glow.
This is what we started with. It sure has come a long way.

Hi. I’m looking for the same lights that you use - may I ask where you got then from? Thanks. 😊
