DIY Wall Decor- Wall Album Frame and Vintage Nature Atlas

$3
Easy
Create your own one-of-a-kind themed wall decor using a thrifted wall album picture frame and illustrations from a vintage encyclopedia/atlas/ book!
Thrift stores like Goodwill are ALWAYS brimming with inexpensive picture frames, many of which are brand new/never used...
...AND books! An endless selection of books...often including older encyclopedia, atlases, textbooks, and gardening guides. They may not look like much from the outside...
But I always take a peek between the covers. And imagine my glee when I found these fantastic pictures, just begging to be framed!
To make a fun new piece of wall decor to give to my father-in-law (who is a saltwater fishing fanatic), I dismantled my thrifted wall album frame. The picture divider was cream-colored and rimmed in gold- not my style! But when I flipped it over, it was fresh, white, and clean. Perfect! So I started cutting out illustrations of fish and taped them carefully to the photo divider.
After I had filled all the holes, it looked fantastic!
I used some spray paint in a coordinating teal on the wooden frame, and voila! Perfect man cave/beach house/den decor!!
