Making a Brick Sign - Popcorn and a Movie

by Deb Hrabik
If you like signs on old brick walls, this project will be fun for your space. It is a large scale sign, about 39" square so will make a great impact in your room. This could be art for your living room or home theater.
Simple. Graphic. Industrial. That's what I'm going for .
I used brick paneling and 1x4's for the frame.
Sand and paint the brick in whites, grays, and tans.
Stain the wood frame with Provincial and Ebony. Seal with semi-gloss poly.
You can enlarge the template here to fill your space and chalk or pencil transfer onto the brick. Detail paint and then sand.
Now you have some fun new art for your home.
