Storage ideas for hair accessories

I am a pretty organized person at work, but at home, not so much. I really need some ideas for how to store my numerous hair accessories, like scrunchies, elastics, clutches, hair pins in a deep but short drawer in my bathroom vanity cabinet. Easy and fast access would be great as I am always in a hurry getting ready! Why can't I get my brain around this?

Check out the modular trays found in the kitchen aisle at WM T and other department stores. They come in plastic, wood and bamboo. Here's one of my kitties checking out my junk drawer to give you an idea of what can be done with them.

Im sure you have specialty stores. Why not take a stroll down the organization aisle.

Scrunchies and hair elastics are great on a carabiner. Bobby pins in tic tac container or on a magnet. Bandana rolled and rainbowed in a pen tray. All bows laid out flat and beautiful!

There are really cute hanging organizers with clear plastic pouches sold at Burlington, Home Goods and other stores like that. They have maybe 9 or more pouches (pockets) and can be used for jewelry, lingerie, scarves and hair accessories, etc. You can hang on the bathroom door or a hook and save that drawer for other necessities. If it is cute enuff, I would leave it up even if company is coming. But if you prefer not, quickly move it to your clothes closet temporarily, Easy peasy!

@Janie Now that sounds like a winner. Actually I have one of those in my closet with various odd jewelry stuff in it. Maybe I could re-purpose it, or get a new one! Thanks.

I use a bamboo steamer, 3 trays keep things orderly and it looks attractive.

@Barbara Andrews Wow, who would have thought! I bet I could find one of those at Goodwill or a yard sale. I think I sold mine a while back because I wasn't using it. Darn...I did it again!
