Farmhouse Style Kitchen Lights

Today, I'm super excited to show you how I easily changed the style of the pendant light fixtures in our kitchen to an industrial farmhouse style for under $50.
This is what they looked like before. Just your run of the mill pendant lights.
They were perfectly fine lights, but didn't have any personality.

I had been looking at replacement pendant lights that were more of the style that I wanted, but they ran at about $100-$180 EACH.

Needless to say, that was out of the question.

So, here is my thrifty solution to get the look that I wanted.

I went to Lowes and found these in expensive (comparatively) pendant light shades for $20 each.
They were the size and style that I wanted, but they only came in brown. My pendants are hammered gray.

I bought the shades anyway and to remedy the situation, y'all know what I did...I spray painted them to match. I used Rust-Oleum Hammered spray paint in gray (dog not included).
And...TADA!
