Our Deck Transformation (Before + After) #30DayFlip

Our deck was built in 2008, and I realize we don't use it as often as we'd like. After several years of having a blank canvas, we finally transformed it into an outdoor living space that we can enjoy after work when the sun begins to fade. We took the plunge and added new furniture, built our own DIY potting bench, created our own DIY herb garden. We love it now, and can bring some of these items inside once winter rolls in.
Before. A blank canvas.
Deck, before. Cluttered...and we weren't quite sure what to do with it.
Our first "after" -- more changes coming
In progress...
We purchased a new set from Wayfair.com and it was easily put together with an allen wrench.
Waterproofed with Thompsons Water Seal.

Beautiful!! I love it when a makeover features items that real people can afford.

@Jeanette @SnazzyLittleThings.com I also love how you made that point in the post. I think that sometimes decorating magazines and blogs make it seem as if people should be able to just hire decorators and buy whatever they need immediately. That's not real life for most of us. Thank you for clearing that up :)
