Kitchen Redo

After 20 years with the natural colored cabinets and gold hardware, I finally convinced my husband to paint them white. He had recently painted the walls a 'beachy' blue and the natural color now looked orange.
We removed the doors and painted the frames.
The new knobs for the doors were a yard sale find. I painted them along with the old handles (for the drawers) a hammered black color.
I ordered a roll of paintable wallpaper from Lowe's that looks like beadboard. The blue paint is showing through the stripes while the paper is still wet, but once it completely dries, it doesn't show.
The finished project. I love it! One day I'll get to change the countertops, but right now they'll have to do.

yeah, we had help in redoing ours! We hired a local guy to lay or floor, we put down bamboo flooring and can I say that I love it!! but one thing leads to another and pretty soon we had new granite countertops and all the walls painted! But I adore the finished product! Now just wishing that I had the money to do the family room with the same bamboo flooring! Our kitchen is our hub, we actually have 5 doors leading to different rooms of the house. The family room and the kitchen are the most used places in the house, so we are doing it next. When we get the resources to do it! love how yours turned out!!!
