I redid our kitchen island to add a larger counter, seating & fun details!

This is my post about our easy DIY kitchen island makeover. It's made a huge difference in how we use our kitchen! We added a new countertop, legs, beadboard wallpaper and lots of moulding and trim. It was super fun and we LOVE how much it has added to our kitchen.

It is a very nice job. I clipped it for a reminder to do our kitchen island. I have been thinking about expanding it somehow to make a breakfast area on it to get rid of the table and the chairs. I am not sure yet how I will accomplish this but it will be done somehow. Your picture made me less nervous about painting the kitchen cabinets. I will start with the island. I think it's just what the kitchen needs to add a bit of color and more functionality and maybe I won't need to paint the cabinet doors.
