Chalkboard server / Burner cover

Margita
by Margita
I am always looking for extra space on my kitchen island. So I decided to make a range cover. I used a piece of plywood, spray painted it with chalk paint, added some trim and legs. I usually place my appetizers on it and write on the chalk board what it is.

What a great idea! My stove isn't in my island, but I'm going to do this anyway to get the extra counter space. Thanks for posting!

Great idea! I have a very small island with stovetop. Eventually I want to get a larger slab of granite to expand the island. Right now I have a beautiful woven throw rug that I place over the stove (once it is cool of course), but I think I am going to copy your concept. Thanks for posting it.
