Is little storage stool salvageable? Could it be painted or recovered?

We put this storage stool in our bathroom a while ago but it's looking a bit forlorn with bleach stains etc. can I save it?

Side view : I think this is a mix of some sort of velvety material and pleather? Not a pricey peice but I do like it!

its definately useable . You need to decide where you want to use it..

Here's my 2 cents...I think you can take apart the top by taking out the decorative nails then removing the pleather parts from the cloth parts. You can do the same w/ the box part as well then use all those cloth parts as a template for whatever cloth material you want to replace. I think replacing the decorative nails w/ silver would look pretty cool. Hope this helps.

@Amy Harmon Kowalski I always do too, and they are so handy especially when you can glue instead of sew, don't tell anyone since I'm a quilter.

As long as it's sturdy, go for it!

Wrap rope around the side and glue on with a hot glue gun, for the top just tack in new fabric or glue on some foam and make it squishy and then fabric on top

Keep it! Take off the rest of the torn material and recover with fabric or rope.
