How durable is bamboo flooring? Will it function well in an area that gets snow?

You're best bet is to check the type you are looking at Janka rating. Here's an example of the scale. Most bamboo is harder than oak. We just put in stand bamboo in one of our guest rooms. All wood flooring regardless of its material will not stand up to moisture.Sooner or later it will do a lot of damage.
