What is the best type blade for making clean, even cuts on wood. I want to make some wood furniture.

    Generally the higher the tooth count on the blade, the smoother the cut. It also depends on what you are cutting. As a fine toothed blade will be hard pressed to cut through larger pieces of wood, but will to fine on trim work.
  • Becky is right, for paneling the fine tooth blades are recommended. There are several blades at your home stores and I suggest getting good blades with carbide tips that will last longer. Do not waste your money on cheap blades! If you are cutting hardwoods like Oak, then you will go through blades faster.

      @The Garden Frog with C Renee Hubby always buys the more expensive blades. I was with him last time and we saved a little by buying a three pack. Not sure if they always offer them that way or if it was a promotion.
