What to do with this floor lamp

Swan Road Designs on Aug 29, 2015Yes, lamp shades are made for a lamp like yours. The shade is usually large enough to "shade" all the bulbs of the lamp and rests on the top of the center glass shade. If you were to look at the shade from the top down, you would see a wire "spider" that has little v shapes at about 4 places. Those "v" shapes fit within the opening of the glass shade. Take a look at this link: http://www.antiquelampco.com/Catalog/Diffusers.htm. It explains it better than I can, plus you can "see" how the shade works.Helpful Reply

Jan Herman on Aug 29, 2015If you don't need it for a light, I would paint it a beautiful shade of moss green or another pretty color, use the light section for a beautiful hanging plant.Helpful Reply

Victoria on Sep 29, 2016They make large lampshades that sit on top of the white glass bowl and are about 10-12 inches high, covering the lower lightbulbs. You might have to go to a specialty lighting store or find a shade that's at least 12 inches on top. That's how they came originally.Helpful Reply
