I have seen several posts about home made chalk paint. Now that I am ready with a project I can't find those posts again! Go figure. If anyone has the formula for making your own chalk paint please let me know.

I use Plaster of Paris. Mix 2 tablespoons in a small amount of water (just enough to get the lumps out) with 1 cup of paint. I use SW sample paints. Put the mixture in a jar with a tight lid -- it will last over a week. After painting sand with 000 steel wool, and wax.

@Rusty Sinn Thanks Rusty! That sounds like the mix I was looking for. You're a "project" saver.

I purchased mine on Amazon. Wal-Mart and health food stores sell it too.
