I am just building a walk- in myself. I hate to say it but I probably have twice as many shoes, not mentioning boots, I never throw any out as they always come back in style. Do I sound like a hoarder?

I'm sorry but I find this .... indefensible, to put it politely. People wake up, Women, wake up. Stop obsessing about stuff and start paying attention to what is happening in our world. There is an actual war against women's rights and status being waged in this country. Climate change is real and will cause unimaginable destruction. And over-consumption is one of the prime contributors.
@ Esther E. If you find it offensive, you do not have to view my post. I live in the US in which I have the freedom to purchase what I want. I own a day care and non-profit business and choose to use my personal proceeds as I please. If I have a passion for fashion it is my business. Go elsewhere with your negative comments. Esther, why are you on this site if you aren't into "stuff"? I would say this is a MAJOR "stuff" site! Did you come on here just to put people down? Surely you're not here to enjoy looking at people's stuff and getting ideas. There is a wide and diverse set of users here...all with differing opinions. may or may not bring them happiness, impress the neighbors...whatever. Others are just trying to simply get by and be kind and gentle to the planet that nurtures us all. Greed and wastefulness are not kind to our planet. We only have a finite amount of resources available, and the more some consume the less there is for others. It is not so much a consumption issue as a population AND Consumption issue. Just because you can...does not mean to have to.

I love the closet redo. I myself own very few dress clothes for I have very little use for them. I have often thought of expanding our small master 11' X 13" bedroom but the resale value of my home would drop because it would only be a 2 and not a 3 bedroom. My previous job required dress clothes so I had very few "play clothes". I live within my "closet" budget. either a full length shelf or two shorter shelves to go over the hanging rods so that my linnens can go on there instead of piled in the spare bedroom. I also donate to various charities if the articles are reusable. One item goes out for every item that comes in. My little closet holds all my clothes and 90% of my military uniforms. I also have very few summer items since we normally don't have alot of really hot days where shorts and tank tops are a must. I applaude Rae for clearing the clutter and getting organized for that is just the start. @Ester, we all consume way to much of something. My big thing is jewelry that is either silver, gold or platinium with a wide vairey of stones from all over the world. It tales up less space and will appreciate in value. Yes I know there is movement in the US on the political front to reverse several women's rights issues. That is why I keep in contact with my legistative representatives.

I wrap some of my designer shoes in plastic. In addition, some of my designer shoes comes with their own material wraps, so I use them as well.
