Leftover ceramic tile

I have some leftover tile from remodeling our bathroom. My husband just can't throw them away. Any suggestions for a small project to use the tile? The colors are light gold, brown and charcoal grey.

Depending on their size, they could be used for on the top of a storage unit in the bathroom. Add some cork or cork pads to the bottom and they can be used has a hot plate or coaster, again depending on size. What size are they? That would help with ideas.

@Carol The only thing about cutting the tiles is you've have raw edges, but that wouldn't matter if you used the cut pieces to make stepping stones for your garden. You can buy molds for concrete stepping stones that would work great for using cut of broken tiles to decorate them. There's quite a few ideas right here on Hometalk on how to do that. http://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=mosaic%20stepping%20stones You could also buy smooth top pre-made concrete tiles, glue your cut/broken pieces to the top and then grout when the glue is completely dry.

Yes, save some for breakage, but then why not make an abstract art wall hanging for the room, or a hallway or another room?

Yes, will save some for breakage. The abstract wall hanging sounds beautiful.

Make decoupage wall hangings or coasters or paint on them with glass paint in whatever design you choose and make coasters or even magnets.

Thank you for all your great suggestions. I think I will give the tiles to my son who is purchasing his first home and has no furniture. His idea is to use the tile to make a small kitchen table or end tables. He has always wanted to make his own furniture.
