Has anyone painted actual candles?

Not the candle holders but the candles themselves? The Annie Sloan store in town said they can be painted and burned, so if that's the case why can't I find any painted candles? I can not be the first one to think of it. Thoughts? Or perhaps school me and save me from exploding our beach party. Hey, they thought college parties were bad. Wait til my ASCP painted candles blow up, good times. LOL

I haven't done this, but this video makes it look very easy using acrylic craft paints. Please take pictures and come back and share on Hometalk. We'd love to see them.

Yes many times. I used spray paint and you can spray glitter also. Works well on all sizes but if you want to burn them I would stick to pillars.

I don't know if this will help but I took candles and used tissue paper with a printed image on it and melted it into the wax. It can be burned with no problems.
