How do I rid our in ground pool frogs? We live at bottom of a mountain with streams on either side of house. Is there a time of year when they'll shut up? Soon I hope.

I don't really think there is a way but possibly the pool supply where you purchase your chemicals through the season could help.

I actually love the frogs and all their froggy sounds! But I understand how some people don't like it. You could get a cat. Cats are natural predators for such creatures.

Mother nature if you build it they will come. No matter what you do they never stop singing. Impossible situation between 2 streams. I would suggest that you simply learn to live with them as they are so beneficial. As time passes you will be able to shut out the sound. They do stop singing about the time it is to cold for you to enjoy your in ground pool. They are the noisiest during mating in the spring as spring turns to summer it calms down.Help answer this question...

So, if this was the Beverly Hillbillies they'd be a croakin' 'bout the C ment pond their neighbor put in for them. The frogs just see it as another stream/source of swimming that, once in, they can't get out of. A solid fence may keep them out as will salt water sprayed around the pool. . Google "how to get rid of frogs in swimming pools". Two links I found:http://www.splashmagazine.com.au/2011/05/25/keeping-pools-frog-free/ http://homeguides.sfgate.com/rid-frogs-swimming-pools-43669.html

Put some snakes out there. That will take care of the frogs.

Kids... My grandkids had frogs in their in ground pool... the grandsons would catch em and play with them for a while keeping them in a container.. Later my son would release them somewhere else away from the property... doesnt stop the problem entirely but it does keep the kids entertained... Its a little effort but they arent as plentiful as they were back in the spring...

There is an excellent website troublefreepool.com that is a forum for all kinds of pool questions. And they are not trying to sell you anything.

The -only- time I had frogs (tadpoles) was when the chlorine level was too low. Also too, check the PH level with pool test strips. Most of them (test strips) test for PH levels. Like chlorin, if it's too low, the frogs will reinvite themselves into your pool! Hope that helps...
