Suggestions to make gloss black appliance handles more resilient?

I recently purchased a gloss black refrigerator with gloss black handles (in a new to me house as black wouldn't have been my first choice but all the other appliances are built in's and black). I'm going crazy--I have to clean the handles 2-3 times/day at a minimum because they show finger/hand prints. I've tried applying car wax which was mentioned in internet posts but it didn't help. Please...I'd welcome any suggestions as to how I can prevent this from happening or suggestions for something I can put on the handles. Thank you!

I read that some people use the traditional lemon scented Pledge on SS fridges to repel fingerprints...maybe it would work for black too? I've also heard to ''fight oil with oil '' and to use baby oil, to repel oily stains.

I just read about a product called Enduroshield. Not sure it will eliminate your problem but it should make clean up a breeze. You can check it out online. My second thought is to paint a band around the handles using a flat paint that won't show fingerprints.

I just googled "appliance handle covers" and found several covers in a variety of designs. While still not perfect because I would prefer to have an invisible/textured coating that wouldn't show fingerprints, these are certainly a nice option!
