Here's where I'm confused about the logic -- if it rains hard, and the gutter from your roof empties into the barrel, it's full -- and you aren't emptying it too quickly to water plants
because... it just rained! So what's the typicial event timeline for efficiently using a rain barrel being filled by a gutter? Are you ever "saving" more than a single barrel's worth? I seems like I'd need to line up a dozen to create any real savings.
