Pest Control: Spider Spray

I saw something on line about how to get rid of spiders my using coconut oil and something else but I lost the recipe. If anyone remembers what else and how much I should use I would really like to hear from you.

Repurposing & Upcycling: Not sure what do with this awesome Dog kennel?

I was at a garage sale and this couple were done for the day and were giving this really nice wood dog kennel away for free. It is missing a few dowels in the front. I want to improve upon it It is very sturdy and of nice wood. I don't have a dog but have friends that do. I could give it for a gift to a dog owner or make it into something completely different. Any ideas or suggestions? What could I do with the door where the dowels are half gone? I appreciate your thoughts!

Design & Décor: We have 3 windows & are unsure how to decorate them for our nursery. One valance w/ sheers? Separated? Panels?

HELP!!! Please suggest some (visual) options for us. We'd like to showcase the windows, rather than cover them up. But with the different sizes, we are having a dilemma.

Thanks so much in advance!

I have always used tension rods in my childrens rooms. Place tention rods on all three of the ...»
windows, top to middle only, leave bottom open, no drape, curtain etc. (6 tension rods total) Then I sew a small two channels for rod in the material I have choosen.... sew in all three at top and bottom..(FIRST.measure width of windows and double that in material it makes curtain fuller) Feed tension rods through tops and bottom, adjust the material so it looks even. Pop into sides of window frame, adjust tension rods for tight fit. This way you never have to open, drape or pull back cutains. OPTION: the blinds stay at top OR when time for nap, lower all the way down. When blinds are pulled halfway up the bottom is perfect...... Children enjoy looking out bottom of windows.

Outdoor Living: Koi pond care

I've "inherited" a koi pond. I don't think it's had much care in the past. It has a pump & filter, but it has not been plugged in. What is the most simple way to care for it?

You also need plants like water hyacinth to add oxygen to the water. I have goldfish, not koi...they are really hardy, and do well all winter, too.

Gardening: Hummingbird Nest Helper

Good morning everyone,

I was just poking around on the web for all things hummingbird, and I ran across this darling cagey thing for pet hair for hummers to use to feather their nest. It was on Amazon and I don't know how to contact the poster. I am taking the liberty to snag her picture and show you and ask if anyone knows where I could find or how I could make such a thing. If the poster happens to be watching thank you so much for this awesome idea!

Gardening: I need a 'step down' from my pond to the lawn.

Hard to see in the photo- but for me to get 'down' from a raised pond bed- I risk injury as I have a problem leg. It's not all that high-maybe a foot or so to the lawn- stepping up is easy- and a bridge would be absurd- but I need something as this leg needs support-

What you see as the bottom of the photo is the place where I have to jump to get to the lawn

From there it's about a 6 inch drop and steep.
