    Hooray for Duct Tape: ...»

I just wrapped some around the pole with the sticky part of the duct tape outward.

This has seemed to work for all my bird feeders and even kept the chipmunks from climbing the big wooden one. I did this last summer and still the chippies have kept away this spring. Probably will replace it with fresh soon.

Decks & Patios: Deck Bench Cushion

My wife and I have this wooden deck bench that the previous owners built. I've been looking for cushions online, but can't find anything to match the dimensions. Can anyone help? It is 83 inches long, 15 inches wide from your butt to your knees and 19 inches high from your butt to your back when sitting. Thanks!

Appliances: Counter Depth Refrigerators?

I've just become aware of counter depth refrigerators. This just might be an excellent design solution for our cave-like, U-shaped kitchen. We've been considering recessing the 'fridge ...»
through the wall, to set it flush with the cabinet faces, but that is one big invasive, load-bearing wall mess I'd prefer to stay well clear of if I can help it.

I understand those massive Sub-Zero beasts with cabinet panels are counter depth, but much wider than normal. They're also scientifically classified as "spendy" and thus beyond our humble means...

  • This is the style cushion, not the actual one I have!

Crafts: Recovering Patio Chair Cushions

So over the weekend, I bought a patio set at a yard sale. The set is in good conditions but the cushions need to be recovered. What is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to do this. I'm not much of a sewer. I've covered small pillows using a hot glue gun but that's it. I'm attaching a pic of the style of cushion I got off the internet. Thanks!!!!

Gardening: Who Is This Garden Visitor?

We found this visitor next to the strawberries in our garden this morning. Can any of our Hometalk garden experts identify what this is? In previous years beans, cucumbers, watermelon and pumpkin have been planted around this area. Could this be one of those?

complement the stained glass in the cabinet and will balance out the room. Use a small print on curtains with the green, pale blue and orange on a light background. If you still want the cobalt blue pick up some candle sticks, glasses, plates, pottery to add to the built in and the cabinet.
