Wreath by chance. My daughter is getting married beginning in July and I wanted to make something to hand on the wall behind the head table at the wedding reception.( perhaps with their Initials in the center???) It is a country theme, but I'd like it to look like its for a wedding.

Renter's Backsplash

I'am a RENTER and as a renter you are limited to your choices and Home Decor. I rent this townhouse and the owner came in and put in new counter tops and it left the kitchen half new & ...»
half old and I needed a pop of color. So I went online for a solution and I found several DIY for renter's backsplash. Saw the pictures and read the instructions and set off to find the following supplies: Table Placemats, and way to hold them in place, which I chose doublesided tape so it would be easy to remove without damaging the walls and a pair scissors. Since my kitchen is a small area I purchased 10 Benson Mills Bamboo Placement for a $1.00 each from Big Lots(I only used 8). Proceeded to apply double sided tape to placemats (make sure walls are clean) and put the mats in place on the wall. Here is my finished product. There was 1 inch gap between the cabinets. So I filled in the space with a cut down(cut to fit) version of the placemat. So far its working......

Grow Succulents in Upcycled Jar

I took a pasta sauce jar, a peanut butter jar, and a salsa jar and primed them with Rustoleum spray, then painted them with Rustoleum aqua spray. I added the footprint because it was a ...»
mother's day project.

Just put some rocks at the bottle for drainage, then add cactus soil, then separate and arrange your suculents and fill in the empty spots with more soil. Water lightly. Super easy!

These were all gifts, but for the one I kept I didn't even paint it, I liked the look of the clear glass with the rocks and soil showing.

rocks because the succulents don't have big roots, and using cactus soil over regular potting soil makes a difference as well. I haven't had any problem with them!

May Garden ~ Birdhouses & Flowers

In looking around the garden, I see a theme has developed. It's all about the birds and flowers. With approximately one hundred birdhouses, I suppose my collection is now nearing ...»
intervention status! Some are decorative and some are functional with clean-outs, but long ago I found out the birds are the ones who decide which is which. A bossy little house wren has commandeered the gazebo garden where she and her hubby have taken up residence in a blue bird house, chasing any other birds who dare to come near.

Every new flower is an awaiting surprise and , as I stroll our garden, bird song greets me. A red fox streaked across the front lawn this early morning, probably from the cat food on our porch. We've had lovely rains and everything is an intense shade of spring green.
