Adding More Whimsy to My Garden

I found this sweet statuette at TJ Maxx - already on clearance!

She dances through life with a ballerina's elegance and her presence is a joy for those around her. Gucci

How do I seal clay pots?

I am attempting another year of gardening in pots. I would like to seal the pots without the risk of contaminating the herbs and vegetables. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks bunches for your help :)

  • Here is the chair after a lot of TLC! I used ASCP, distressed the edges, and finished with Annie Sloan clear wax on the painted sections and semi-gloss poly on the seat.
  • The chair back had beautiful wood veneer, but was badly chipping.
  • We repaired the chair with wood putty and sanded smooth after it dried.
  • I then painted the chair (the the exception of the seat) using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. I also used the inside (or inverse) of a bird stencil and painted around it, removing the stencil while the paint was still wet.

3rd Generation Chairs Given a ASCP MAKEOVER!

We given passed down chairs built by my husband's grandfather, and while beautifully made and priceless in value, they were is very bad repair. My husband didn't want to cover the wood ...»
and I didn't want to leave them as-is. So we compromised with a little chalk paint and inverse stenciling! #AnnieSloanChalkPaint #FurnitureMakeover

  • Beaten up old bucket with a brass eagle on the other side.
  • I decided on a golden wheat color with streaks of barn red and added a whitewash. I lightly sanded it down to expose some of the wood.
  • Add some buttons and it makes a perfect container for my magazines.

Magazine Bucket

I love to go to garage sales, and something about this bucket called to me.

I want a cheap gardening table to use to pot plants, wash veggies, ect. . It has to be able to be left outside in the yard because I do not have a shed. Any ideas?

Vinca having a bad year??

I have planted Vinca for years in my sunny spots and it has always done well. This year I have replaced it for the 3rd time and now I'm giving up. Anyone know of a disease Vinca has this year?
