Keep your cats away from your houseplants; Fill the surface of the planter with shells or rocks.

Cover the entire area so there is no room in it for a small paw to fit. Cats generally do not like to step on rough or uncomfortable surfaces so she'll be sure to stay away from the plant in the future.
