Re-upholster chairs by using re-purposed belts

1. cut away broken rush/reed seat

2. install belts, buckling on the underside of the chair, weaving as you go

3. sit

Easy, right?! See the details on my blog!

Outdoor Living: Anybody know where a person could purchase a pre-made table/bench to go around a tree?

My husband says he could build one - but I would like to have it to enjoy before I get that old :)

  • Entry on the right allows pups to enter/exit or just run through
  • Steps allow our shar pei easy access without the possibility of developing luxtating patellas or increase chances of hip displaysica by constant jumping
  • Left Entry. The black accent enhances the hexagon shape

Dog Beds

Left over tongue and groove oak flooring was repurposed to build this bed for our four shar pei. Two sleep on the top bunk and two sleep under...everyone is happy! Two hexagon entries ...»
allow the puppies fun places to run and play. Our shar pei are true family members and love to spend their nights "guarding" us.

trellis with planter boxes the I made for storm damaged branches.

I look for branches that are close to the same thickness, cut them to about 16-18 inches and first screw them together with wood screws then go over the screws with jute string. The overhead front of the trellis header has the word "welcome" that I made with sticks and short screws . The planter boxes are thick branches that I cut in half and nailed together so that the trellis will fit inside of them. I did use some 3 1/2" plastic pipes to slide the trellis into so it doesn't rot in ...»
the dirt. We had a tornado and I got to get all the branches I wanted and the trellises sell like crazy!
