Our well is about 100 yards from the house. After a hard rain, the water becomes muddy, especially evident in the commodes. It clears after a few days, but my wife can no longer stand it. Is there a fix, or something more expensive?

Mine have been self seeding for years. I have 2 pots that come back every year.
In order to save a few pennies my Dear Hubs installed a timer on our eletcric hot water tank. The timer can be bought at box stores and lets you decide when your hot water tank will heat
water vs. cycling on & off. It comes with a clock (pc 2) and pins to set "on" & "off " for 2 time periods. Ours runs for 3 hours in the late aft.-if we have need for more hot water, there is an override switch so you can just turn it on as needed. Going on vacation? Use the override switch to shut it off completely while you are away! Turn it back on when you get home and by the time you are done unpacking you will have hot water.

We have one, I told my husband if he ever used it again I would kill him. Got sick of having
cold showers as I am not on a set schedule with my bathing.
