I had a crack in my brand new Kholer tub and they sent their guy to fix it. His name was Gary and he was very knowledgeable and professional. I guess you could call Kholer customer service and get his information. Unfortunately I did not keep his number. I believe he lived in Douglasville but I could be wrong. It was a year ago that he fixed that crack. It has not come back and you can't see where it was. I wish I could point you to someone else but that is the only person I know of. Hope this helps.

Epoxy would probably work. however getting it to be invisible might be tough, without refinishing the entire tub

Rick the biggest problem you have is finding out why that crack is there in the first place. If that tub was installed in a typical fashion then it doesn't have any support under it, other that the factory installed support system which is inadequate to say the least. A plumber friend of mine told me how to solve this long ago and I have implemented his system on three tubs now all with no problems and they feel just as solid as the floor when you are in then, ie no movement. When a fiberglass tub moves it eventually cracks. So I put a mortar bed under a tub when I install it to make sure that it can't move. Now with that said if you don't have adequate support under your tub and you fix the crack it won't take long for it to crack again. Certainly you don't want to replace the tub but if you don't have a way to get under it and support it the best thing you can do is to take it out and reinstall it. If you have to do that you may as well replace it. And while you are there you can address your support issue. You should not have any more problems after that.
  • Right on Paul....we usually use play sand to support under the tubs...lay a nice bed of sand under the tub...then fill it with water so it settles in. Without finding the "why" the tub cracked...there's no point in fixing it.

The easiest way I've found to make this repair is find someone who specializes in Fiberglass repair, such as a boat repair shop. You can also buy a fiberglass repair kit, but you really have to know what your doing when it comes to color matching the fiberglass. C.R. Draves.com
