Can anyone suggest what a good replacement is for this 70's wooden valance?

I have added granite counters, am restaining the cabinets in the same color and will add some type of backsplash when I finish the rest. I would also like to have a pendant light hanging from the window.

    Have same situation, going to remove it and hang matching pendant light
