Refinishing a craft store tool box

I had this unfinished tool box for a long time. I've seen so many beautiful re purposed vintage tool boxes around that I became inspired to do something with mine. I wanted a weathered ...»
look, so I dry brushed it with several layers of gray and white paint to create a vintage look and used it to store my napkins and extra flatware.

    wood. Pour white vinegar in a small container, and add coffee grounds and a piece of steel wool. Cover, and let it sit overnight. Then, use the steel wool to spread the liquid over unfinished or sanded wood. Let one coat dry, and add one more coat if a darker color is desired. It looks so great when it's finished! :)
