Landscaping

Anyone with ideas in this area for plants. Full sun, drought tolerant, low maint, favorite color purple. Should I raise the empty area in the front to place some annuals and perrennials. Thinking about purple coneflower, purple salvia, purplewave petunias.? Should I move the smaller shrubs Help! Please

Gardening: Can anyone tell me why only half of my bearded irises will bloom.

They're planted in groups but only 1or 2 will blossom. The rest is foliage.
