Medical Spa Room

This medical spa room is a quiet addition to a very busy medical practice. The interior design ideas are based on small business office designs needs. ...»

The reception area, consultation area and procedure room are separated creating a loft-like space to accommodate ever changing medical technology needs. The lightweight wall is easily movable, some of the furniture is on casters, the fabric drapery provides for additional privacy if necessary.

The medical spa design concept has the goal of making the spa room inviting, simple, natural and cozy. Because there is only one glass door in the room and no additional windows it was important to use wall paint colors that are perceived as natural. Six different earth color paints were used. Violet blue, earth brown, warm cream, dark brown, blue gray and gold paint colors are used for a cohesive look. Dark furniture plays against white accessories. Tropical flower sconces on the walls are welcoming a patient before she enters the procedure area of the medical spa room.

  • This was hanging in my grandma's dining room. Filled with tea sets and china
  • With a little paint and some sanding, it fits just right in our bedroom.

Changing Vintage To Work For You

I have quite a few furniture pieces that were my grandparents. I have used paint to help them fit with my motif.

my bathroom renovation

I have been wanting to redo my half bath but couldn't because the vanity top was an odd size and I couldn't afford a new top. After seeing someone using wood for a top I ran with that idea and I must say it turned out terrific.

DIY Modern Rustic Inspired Living Room

We updated our living room recently, using 100% recycled materials.

The wall hanging is made of NZ native tawa tongue and groove reclaimed from an old villa. ...»

The LOVE wall hanging and coffee table were made from salvaged tongue and groove flooring. The base for the coffee table is made of two storage crates made of pallet wood. The TV unit was purchased second hand for $1, and stripped of it's originating mdf and replaced with native tawa to match the wall hanging, and finally, completing the room is the charcoal rug, a large off cut of carpet that was recycled from an office fit out. The whole room cost us nothing but time to complete. We love the look which is very child friendly, and adds quite a masculine vibe to the house, keeping the man of the house happy too.
