Thrift store find - 80's ducks/heart and all!
  • Sanded lightly for the Milk Paint. No need to sand but I wanted a more "solid" look.
  • First exterior coat...this was a multi coat/2 color process to get the look I was after.

Dated 80's Breadbox to Fabulous French....Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint

I had the opportunity to go to a MMS workshop awhile back and just recently (finally!) used it on something. I decided to start small to get a feel for it. I came across this very dated ...»
old breadbox and figured it'd be the perfect candidate! I made a sample board at the workshop and actually loved the way the color came out so I recreated the technique on the box. And then I added some fun graphics! See the blog for the full tutorial on the paint and graphics.
