  • I used a large white and teal stripe for the drapes and a fine ticking stripe for slipcovers on the newly painted dining room suite.
  • A striped indoor/outdoor rug grounds the space, and this amazing button tufted ottoman is a big hit of pattern.
  • Cottage before:
This space had a great layout but the dark beams were bringing the ceiling down and making everything feel closed in.
  • The main rooms after, so much brighter!
  • a group of painted paddles with hooks was added for towels and beach shoes by the door.

  • Here it is after, a great place to sit and read. 1
  • This small bedroom needed to have some attention to make it perfect for a very special little girl.
  • I had a lot of fun with this space, we found a top plate from an antique dresser and had a padded headboard made, an antique child's chair is used as a nightstand.

  • The during...It is a true black color in La Craie chalk paint. It distressed beautiful!
  • The prep work is the most difficult part. As you can see it was a deep cherry wood color before. Pretty but needed an update.
  • Of course the inspiration to paint the FP surround was the Man chair, which is a black distressed color.

  • A vintage-look monogram, some stain and legs transform an old cutting board to an elegant serving board or trivet.
  • An old cutting board...the more battered the better...some baseboard corner posts and some stain complete the transformation.
  • I used a sharpie marker to create the monogram, gave it a vintage look by sanding it and them finished it with stain.
  • It starred as the platform for my centerpiece in my Thanksgiving tablescape.

though. Recently, I painted the outside with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. I also painted a fleur de lis and stripe to give it a bit more character. U used Annie Sloan's Paris Grey paint. You can see the full project on my blog.
