Our "Toy Garden"!

My neighbor and I call this our "Toy Garden". We spend day after day walking the beach for sea glass and unique shells. After noticing all the beach toys, flip flops, plastic and trash ...»
left littering our beaches, we started bringing extra bags with us and picked up as much as we could find and carry in one trip. Not knowing what to do with all the colorful toys and flip flops, we decided to build a Toy Wall and one thing led to another! We love our place so much and so does everyone who comes over to visit. It's such a happy, colorful place now that we have painted all the chairs!

  • The shed has 3 sets of French doors and a 4' roof overhang supported by large brackets.
  • Installing the shed.
  • The owner etched the concrete on the front porch.
  • The interior has drywall walls, but the ceiling framing and cypress roof sheathing are left exposed.
  • The back wall has no windows or doors - perfect for shelves.
  • A lovely view into the garden.
  • The exterior finished.

Garden Salvage

I took an old door and coated the glass with mirror paint, then I mounted it on my fence. I added some porch poles and bunk bed slats as a frame around the door; decorating it with paint ...»
and flower pot finials. I added a decorative piece of steel as a topper and put some stepping stones in front of it. This is my "secret" door to nowhere.

  • This little crate contraption stores 6 rolls, pyramid style. Not bad!
  • Simply screw the licence plate onto the crate, then screw it to the wall from the inside, and you're done! Instant funky little cabinet, junk style.
  • Sealing the license plate with a clear spray sealer would be a good idea. I simply chose to have the bottom row of rolls remain in their packages.
  • It functions awesome and looks pretty cool. And is rustic enough to please the junkiest junker. :) 2

Crate storage for 'the necessities in life'. :)

We all have the same issue. Where do we store the extra toilet paper? It needs to be within reach but how can we do it in a cool way? ...»

My own answer came by simply screwing a rusty old licence plate onto an old crate, attach it to the wall, and voila, you're all set! Doesn't get much easier (or cooler) than this. :)

Wine bottle shape I cut out and turned into a wine bottle holder

I drew out this wine bottle on MDF..cut and painted it. By using some old bed springs, this wine rack is easy peasy to make. For a VERY unique wine rack, it's not hard, and doesn't take all that long to do! #mykitchen
