  • What's wrong with this Japanese Maple?

Japanese Maple Seems to be dying

This Japanese Maple was planted in late May and has been doing well until a few days ago when the leaves started turning brown and curling up at the edges. We are watering every day. Is the problem the heat, too much water or not enough water or something else. Any suggestions?

I think Douglas is correct. The roots simply are not able to keep up with the water demands of ...»
the leaves. Put a 1/8" hole in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket and place it near the trunk. Fill once every two days, keeping the soil moist but not soggy.
