  Reeves, The Georgia Gardner, is right. The old fashioned Gardenias grow much larger than do the newer varieties. I have a couple at my front porch here in Georgia that are at least 5' tall...and that is after I pruned it last year! They root very well in a clear container and are easy to transpant.

  reference you can spray them with several different things. First is Liquid Fence, you can buy this in any lawn and garden place, but is is a bit on the pricey side. You can also make a concoction of Irish spring liquid soap and water spray the plants and reapply after watering or when it rains. And another is egg whites and, pepper, garlic and water. All work well. Just don't forget to keep reapplying.

and I am not sure what flowers to put in it to survive the heat? They will have to be drought tolerant too as we can't water except once a week. I hope all you green thumbs can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

clipping cuttings and dividing it. The long stems look much softer than they acrually are, it is wire like if i try and break a leaf off. This one now has a lot of new growth andis very attractive. I just don't know what it is, I hope someone can help.
