When to call the plumber for bathroom remodel?

I am remodeling my bathroom and will do all the work except the plumbing. I am putting in a renovated claw foot tub and the water supply comes out of the ... »
floor. I am also putting in a new toilet and sink and vanity. My question is should I have the plumber come in before or after I tile. I was thinking that I would rip out the old floor, put in cement board, have the plumber come before I tile. Of course I could just call one and ask, but it's Saturday and I have a Hometalk community that I can ask.

  different size drain pipes that for the most part are not standard or available today. If you upgrade the plumbing the drains you cannot see may not be sized properly for the new plumbing drain pipes you will most likely purchase for the plumber to use.

Bathroom Makeover

This small bathroom that my two kids shared, was in desperate needed of atention! ... »

But it had to be a makeover, I was not planning on changing major things! Bathtub, vanity, faucet, and counter had to stay. The main change had to be cosmetic! Since it was a pretty good functioning bath!
I began by updating the vanity with some left over paint from other projects plus some shelves! Next the bathtub got a special treatment with a cover! Paint, a shallow shelf behind the door, and accesories helped giving this bath a new look! I did all the proyects myself and you can do it too!

  rather than replacing what you have. If you have a limited budget then aesthetically things will look good but my suggestions is to save up and replace rather that cover up. Just my 2 cents!

  influence this as well as "tie-ins" to the existing infrastructure...plumbing electric. If this were a simple "guest" room the price would be a good deal cheaper as the plumbing concerns could be avoided Baths can also eat a lot of the budget with fixtures fancy tile etc.

the space. Actually the bath was in the window location in the previous design, but we moved the position slightly so that we could add the beautiful walk in shower.
