door. It made a HUGE improvement to the entire space. We also painted the walls of the room a warm beige, and painted the tile in the breakfast nook. corners are from volcano travertine. The moose i carved in with a 4" angle grinder and a diamond blade then dyed it with concrete dye. Whats cool about the whole thing you cant see. The mud work that lies beneath it all. Old school work...Not many even do it anymore. They (most builders) all want a blow n go quality thats why i started to focus on my concrete work.

Mopping a slate floor

What is the best way to mop a slate floor? What cleaning solution should we use? We have slate tiles in the kitchen with concrete mortar. You can see from the ... »
pictures that the surfaces of the slate tiles are uneven. They are also porous (water dripped on them is absorbed). I sweep regularly, which isn't easy because of the uneven surfaces. I have mopped once with a Swiffer Wet Jet but I'm not sure whether that's OK to use repeatedly.

  such as Silestone don't need to be sealed but I've found out the hard way that granite does. I would pick quartz over granite. I still haven't been back to this home to try to get the stain out!

How do u clean grout? I have a porcelain floor and its not even a year old yet and the grout looks horrible!

I never use any cleaning fluids, just a steam cleaner...ty

  white grout in the kitchen and to just use Oxy-clean on it. You can make it strong and let it sit a little and you won't have to scrub with a brush so much.
