  • Before the lamp was just plain white with green trim. We used several colors that we pulled from the colors in her bedspread to give it a little pizzaz.
  • I used hot glue to adhere the ribbons to the shade. Just a dab on each end and none in the middle. Then I folded the ends over the bottom and top of the shade and hot glued them to the inside.
  • End result: colorful, fun lamp shade!

Cleaning & Organization: Stainless Steel Fridge

Hi guys!! I have another Kitchen appliance cleaning question. I was cleaning off my stainless steel fridge door and it was clean but it has all these little fine scratches on it. Is there ...»
a way to get rid of those? I couldn't believe how many scratches were on it and don't know how they got there, it's crazy! They're super fine but they are there. I use a paper towel and my stainless steel cleaner and (embarrassed to say) I don't clean the doors that often. It's a side by side door fridge quite large. Thanks, I look forward to the answers I may get!!

Milk Crate Herb Garden

I love vintage metal baskets of any kind--locker baskets, milk crates, etc. I nab them whenever I see them. I remember putting my towel and pool stuff in a locker basket each day at the pool when I was growing up. {Remember those silver/galvanized?, metal pool pins you had to have to get into the pool? They had a little number on them. Love those, too. I sometimes kept mine on my towel-and it would leave rust spots by the end of the summer.} ...»

This past weekend I pulled out one of my Flavo-Rich metal milk crates and filled it with a mini herb garden. I love it-and it adds some fun character to a hole I had in the garden. Nestled right in with the ballerina roses and gardenia.
