We're not talking infestation here, but we seem to have up to 20 persistent fruit flies in the kitchen - regardless of the presence of fruit! Can't figure out where they're coming from! How do we get rid of them? Quick - before we start naming them!

I'm with Joanna H, drain flys. In my experience trying to get rid of them, the vinegar
actually attracts more. They love Apple Cider Vinegar. Cleaning the drains sound good. Will try that. Fly bait helps, but you have to renew it often as it gets old. It has a sex attractant in it.
